NOAA explorers find car, mural in WWII shipwreck

A National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration team used an underwater vehicle to explore the wreck of the USS Yorktown, one of 24 Essex-class aircraft carriers built during World War II for the U.S. Navy, and found Douglas SBD Dauntless bombers, a black 1940-1941 Ford Super Deluxe “Woody," and a hand-painted mural inside an elevator shaft tracking the ships voyages.
