The Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, swam in the Seine on Wednesday morning to showcase the river’s cleanliness ahead of the outdoor swimming events at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which start in just nine days. However, the water quality of the Seine remains questionable and has repeatedly failed tests in preparation for the 33rd Olympiad.
