The Homestead shelter for teen migrants is getting mixed reviews. It was called “inhumane” and un-American” by U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Florida. But Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez and his team recently toured the Homestead facility and came away with a positive impression.
