A male inmate held by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is facing allegations of sexually assaulting a female inside the Intake Transfer and Release Facility, located near 27th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road. Justin Avery was arrested on April 12 for allegedly assaulting five women near Arizona State University’s Tempe campus. Early on April 17, before 4 a.m., Avery was in the male section of the court waiting area at the facility.
