Helene is now a category 1 storm with max winds at 80mph. The storm will move into the Gulf of Mexico allowing it to further intensify into a major storm by landfall. The forecast with Helene remains on track with landfall across Florida’s Big Bend region Thursday evening as a Category 3 storm.
