An officer shot and killed a woman on Friday in Lauderhill, police confirmed.
According to authorities, the first responding officer arrived on the scene and reported over police radio that a female was armed with a knife.
Shortly thereafter, the officer transmitted an additional message: ‘Shots fired.’”
The woman was taken to Broward Health in critical condition, but according to Lauderhill Fire Rescue, she was later pronounced dead.
