Ernesto continues to pummel Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands with heavy rain.
Even though the cyclone is now 125 miles to the north of San Juan, the deep fetch of moisture to its south is responsible for flash flood warnings across the eastern half of Puerto Rico and pointes east.
Double digit rainfall amounts are a near certainty. Occasional winds to tropical storm force are still likely for the region along with storm surge and dangerous marine conditions.
