In the University of Miami College of Arts and Sciences’ Animal Behavior course, students delve into what it truly means to be an animal, exploring behaviors such as hunting for food, evading predators, and protecting their young. To bring these concepts to life, Winter Beckles, lecturer and undergraduate laboratory coordinator in the Department of Biology, designed an interactive learning experience in which students, donning flamingo and fish inflatables, step into the roles of animals to engage in a playful yet educational game.
