In an operation at Rafael Núñez International Airport in Cartagena, Colombia’s National Police arrested a 40-year-old man attempting to board a flight to Amsterdam with 19 capsules of cocaine hidden in his wig.
The arrest was made possible through passenger profiling checks conducted by the Anti-Narcotics Police, who noticed the suspect’s unusual behavior. The man, a native of Pereira, was subjected to a detailed inspection, which revealed several capsules attached beneath his fake hair. A Preliminary Homologated Identification Test (PIPH) confirmed the substance was cocaine.
According to authorities, the suspect intended to transport the drugs to the Netherlands, where their sale would have generated over 10,000 euros (approximately 40 million Colombian pesos) for drug trafficking networks
