A person was hospitalized after a Brightline train collided with a car Wednesday morning in North Miami Beach, authorities confirmed.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the crash near Northeast 165th Terrace and Biscayne Boulevard around 10 a.m.
Local 10 News obtained video from Dock Doctors, showing the moment a Brightline train collided with a black car that ran a red light while the railroad crossing arms were down.
Authorities said the driver of the car was transported by ground to a nearby trauma center.
Sky 10 captured aerial footage of the scene, showing the black car with substantial rear-end damage as investigators worked to determine the cause of the collision.
Sky 10 flew over the scene after authorities responded to a crash invovling a Brightline train and one vehicle Wednesday morning.
The train remained stopped on the tracks as crews worked to assess the situation.
Authorities did not provide an immediate update on the age, gender or condition of the injured person.
