The Broward Sheriff’s Office is stepping up efforts to protect houses of worship. Saferwatch, an app covering more than 440 schools in Broward County alone, was a by-product of lessons learned from the 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.
